West Minot Church of God recently celebrated an exciting evening of recognition and encouragement during our 2026 Awana Awards Night. Families, leaders, and church members gathered together to honor the hard work, dedication, and spiritual growth of dozens of children and students who participated in Awana throughout the year.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the prestigious Timothy Award to Ryland Moll and Isaac Rodgers. The Timothy Award is one of Awana's highest achievements for elementary-aged students, recognizing years of faithful handbook completion, Scripture memorization, and spiritual development. Earning this award requires a tremendous commitment from both students and their families, making it a significant milestone worthy of celebration. Awana describes the Timothy Award as the completion of four years of handbook work and discipleship training, representing a remarkable dedication to learning and living God's Word.
Throughout the evening, dozens of clubbers were recognized for completing handbooks, memorizing Scripture, demonstrating Christlike character, and reaching important milestones in their Awana journey. Each award represented countless hours spent studying God's Word, hiding Scripture in their hearts, and growing in their relationship with Jesus.
Awana is an international discipleship ministry used by thousands of churches around the world. Built around Bible memorization, discipleship, and evangelism, the program helps children and students develop a strong biblical foundation that can impact their lives for years to come.
We are incredibly proud of every child who participated this year and grateful for the faithful leaders, volunteers, and parents who invested their time and energy into making Awana a success. Their commitment helps create an environment where children can grow spiritually, build lasting friendships, and develop a deeper understanding of God's Word.
Congratulations to all of our 2026 Awana award recipients, and especially to Ryland Moll and Isaac Rodgers for earning the Timothy Award. We look forward to seeing how God continues to work in the lives of these young people as they grow in faith and continue their journey with Christ.
"Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" (2 Timothy 2:15) continues to be more than just the meaning behind the Awana name, it is a reminder of the lifelong impact of studying and living God's Word.
