I have been the Lead Pastor at West Minot since October 2021. I grew up in Garrison, ND but until returning, I had spent the previous 22 years serving churches in southwest Virginia.
I’ve been married to my amazing wife, Alycia, since 2004 and we have two wonderful children, Abby and Ryland. My wife and children were born in Kingsport, TN so moving to North Dakota has been a new adventure for them (winter!!!!), but for me this has been a homecoming.
I am a graduate of Lee University in Cleveland, TN with a bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministry. I have served several churches in the Church of God for over 30 years in varying roles, such as Youth Pastor, Executive Pastor and Lead Pastor. I have served on the North Central Region Youth Board and currently serve on the NCR Regional Council. I love to see people grow in their faith so discipleship is my favorite emphasis as a pastor.
I am a scavenger at heart so I love going to yard sales, second hand stores, antique shops, pawn shops and auction sales. I love to find something old and repurpose it or just see how things used to be done 'back in the day.'
I am a big sports fan-it only takes one step into my office to know baseball is my favorite sport. The Atlanta Braves and Minnesota Twins are my favorite baseball teams. For pro football I pull for the Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers. I like playing fantasy football, even though it messes up the way I can cheer for my teams! For college sports, I like the Tennessee Volunteers during football season and the Kentucky Wildcats for basketball. March Madness is one of my favorite holidays!
I am very curious by nature so I love learning about anything that catches my attention. Because I love reading I often come home from yard sales with a pile of books. My book collection is only a problem when I have to move it.
I would love to get a chance to meet you, so if you come visit us here at West Minot, take a minute and say hi!
