West Minot Church of God was proud to roll through the streets of Minot as part of the 2025 North Dakota State Fair Parade, and what a day it was. Thousands lined the route, and our church family showed up with energy, creativity, and a whole lot of smiles.
This year’s float was built around a simple message: our church is here for this community. From the design and decorations to the volunteers walking alongside the float throwing 'flags' of candy, and high-fives, everything pointed back to one "goal": letting people know they’re welcome and they’re loved.
A big thank-you goes to everyone who helped make it happen. Dozens of volunteers spent hours planning, building, decorating, walking, and cleaning up. If you saw the float, you saw a team effort in action. That’s what church looks like: people serving together and having a blast doing it.
We also loved getting to connect with so many familiar faces along the parade route. Members, friends, neighbors, and even a few folks who said they’d been meaning to visit for a while stopped us to say hello.
Events like the State Fair Parade are more than just a fun summer tradition. They’re a chance for us to step outside our building and be present where our community already is. We believe church isn’t meant to stay inside four walls. It’s meant to show up, serve, and bring hope wherever we go. The parade was one more way we got to do that.
To everyone who waved, cheered, grabbed candy, or stopped to talk, thanks for making the day memorable. We’re already looking forward to next year.
