West Minot Celebrates Faith and Community at the 2026 ND State Parade

West Minot Church of God was honored to once again take part in the North Dakota State Parade on Saturday, July 18, in Minot.

The 44th annual parade was one of the largest in the state, featuring more than 200 entries and celebrating America’s 250th birthday with the theme “Honoring 250 Years of Heroes.” The Western North Dakota Honor Flight served as Grand Marshal, and thousands gathered along Burdick Expressway to enjoy the annual State Fair tradition.

West Minot’s float carried the theme “One Nation Under God,” sharing a message of faith, unity, and hope with our community. Members of the West Minot worship team performed live worship music from the float throughout the parade route, giving us a unique opportunity to take worship outside the walls of the church and into the heart of our city.

We were also honored to receive the Dakota Proud Award for our parade entry, marking the third consecutive year West Minot has received an award!

We are thankful for everyone who helped build, decorate, organize, play, sing, walk, and represent West Minot. Most of all, we are grateful for another opportunity to point our community toward Jesus and proudly proclaim that we are One Nation Under God!
